SCIFI.com reports that Rutger Hauer (aka Roy Batty) will play Kurt Barlow, an antiques dealer and vampire, in TNT’s upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Salem’s Lot. It’s not the first time the Dutch-born actor has played a bloodsucker; he has played vampires several times in movies and TV, mostly famously as Lothos in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.
A minor problem with the WB offer…
As some may have guessed, yesterdays offer from Warner Bros. was an April’s Fool. We received a total of 26 mails regarding the issue, where 4 of these had realized our little prank. As a notice to those who fell for it, your emails have all been deleted.

Blade Runner Insight has received a special offer from Sue Kroll, Director of WB International Distribution. WB has provided Blade Runner Insight with 20 copies of a special preview edition of the upcoming Blade Runner SE DVD. This edition is a pre-release version, and do not contain any bonus material and the text “For you consideration” is displayed at regular intervals throughout the movie. However, WB is going to give them away to, and I quote, “Hard-core Blade Runner fans”, in exchange for filling out a feedback form (kind of a review) in the beginning of May.
Those that are interested in participating should send a mail to wb-specialoffer@br-insight.com with the subject “WB Special Offer” and no message content. We will randomly select 20 emails and forward them to WB International Distribution, and then they will send out an email to the 20 selected asking for shipment information. WB are expected to begin distributing the preview editions around April 19th, so we will have to set a deadline for the submission on Monday the 10th.
